Precare & Aftercare
Precare and aftercare are vital in order to achieve the best results from your service. Unevenness and fading are to be expected, which is why a touch-up appointment is important in order to address those. Be sure to review the instructions for both precare and aftercare prior to your appointment.

-
Do NOT submerge the serviced area in water for 7 days (this includes, but is not limited to, pools, bodies of water, hot tubs, etc.)

-
For the first 24 hours, you will blot any fluid forming on the serviced area (do not rub, just blot)
-
For 7 days (starting the day after your appointment), you will clean the area morning and night with a gentle, antibacterial cleanser. You can apply a VERY SMALL amount of ointment after cleansing. A small tube of Zensa healing cream will be provided in an aftercare kit. Aquaphor is also recommended.
-
For Lips: Avoid contact with hot foods or drinks - use a straw when drinking
HEALING STAGES
Day 1
Redness, swelling, darker in color, possibly tender. Make sure to blot the fluid forming on the serviced area (even if you can't see it, still blot).
Day 2-4
Swelling, redness, and tenderness should go down. Color may still appear dark. Scabs may start to appear
Day 5-10
Area will become patchy and lighter - you may even wonder where the pigment went! Don't worry, it'll come back.
Day 10-14
Color is coming back though not as dark as before. That's what we want! The healed color will be softer than the initial color.
